Neoprene Finger tip
As a part of the touch sensing, a compressable, and grippy neoprene finger tip is designed to fit over the tip of each finger. This both protects the touch sensative Velostat and offers a grippy surface to help the hand hold objects.
This tip was made using neoprene cement and the parts cut using a finger tip as a mould. This part fits perfactly over the tip and should offer a good protective and grippy cover.
The main problem with this is the glue requires approximatly 12 hours to cure, this will make design iterations difficult and time consuming, as well as building each final part.
